Backyard Bashing

Frustration. That is one word that comes to mind at this point of the season. WVU never trailed and thrashed the Pitt Panthers 71-50. When you give up 70+ points to WVU you’re going to lose. They shot a horrible 30.2% from the field and Gibbs was 2-7 from behind the arc. Da’Sean butler scored 18 and never looked back as they rolled.

This means that Pitt needs to win their next two games against Seton Hall and Robert Morris, both home games. They now sit at 16-6 and need to get these next two wins. Playing like they are though, that may not happen. They may not be seeded so highly in the Big East Tournament either with a 6-4 conference record.

Right now they need to regroup and play better down the stretch. Things are getting out of hand it seems, but Jamie Dixon will get his squad going in the right direction by the end of the season.
